MAGNUS HAMMER by weremole MAGNUS HAMMER by weremole
Obvious homage of another famous hammer swinging hero robot and another celebration of Transformers Animated.

The finale whas a bit lukewarm and TF:A is coming a little between the seats in regards to Hasbros new broadcast project and ROTF.

I hope we'll get a DVD movie or something to tie up all the loose ends with Sari and bring some proper closure to the whole thing.

Bring the hammer down, Prime.

Same here. I'm disappointed it's done, it's the best TF cartoon since Beast Wars or G1. I'm praying the next show is as good as Animated (both in the writing and art department).

You did a swell job of recreating the look of the show, very cool with the Lockdown Supreme in sillouette.

Too bad it was only a three-season run, I liked seeing all the original bots showing up in the updated style. Some more character wrap-ups would have been good, too.

R.I.P. Prowl.

I like the picture... And I've been impressed with what I'm told the story is about in TF:A... But the animation style kills it for me. Sure Transformers was always campy animation- but at least the characters moved/looked like giant metal robots... In this series, they all look like Gumbies love child.

Note: This bears no critique on your art- you've done an excellent homage.

Character models =/= animation style. Animation is when and how things move.

That's all I can say really. Its effective allbeit the quality changes depending on what studio work on wich episode, Answer and 4C beats Mook.

I'd love for a little more money and a dedicated keyframer to really make use of it though.

The rubber quality that is.

Because it kicks ass when applied properly.

Is Sari supposed to be Guy?

No. She's supposed to be Sari.
Only half the picture is a GGG ref.

But if you talk about the roles the characters play then Sari fits more as Mamoru.

Though that has nothing to do with the image.

Thanks for clearing that up for me.:)
I just thought that since you said that this picture was inspired by GGG, and Sari's a techno-organic, she would represent Guy in this picture.
But now I kinda see her as a cross between Guy and Mamoru:a cyborg with this unlimited power within her.

Very nice. I'm hoping for a direct to DVD movie or two to wrap up animated entirely.

GoGaiGar? Really? I know it was a distant TF cousin, but I didn't know Animated referenced it.

Well, I reference it here at least. As Optimus with a jetpack and a giant hammer is just asking for it. (The production staff can answer for itself.)

The whole Endgame 2parter is also amusingly enough about him "braving up".
