Ransack and Hubcap. Two offscreen Transformers Revenge Of The Fallen toyline characters drawn for an Allspark contest.

I figured I'd go retro since both of these guys have classic vehicle modes. Also its fun.

Biplane!

Inked with a brush, g-pen, marker and ballpoint. Colored on the computer.

Would've expected to see Brimstone duking it out with Hubcap, but Ransack is just as awesome!

Great one !
To bad the toys won't be in scale to replay this scene for real :).

Heh. Love how you integrated the creases in it to make it look retro. Looks authentic! :)

very, very cool! I love the idea of TFs struggling to work with our early technology.
I really like the halftone effect (how did you do that, BTW?), but this also would have worked well in sepia as an old photograph from the Sector 7 archives

Sweet-ness!

How did you get the comic cover look? You know- with all the cracks, cover damage, and peeled edges.
I've got a picture on the go that would TOTALLY benefit by that look.

I'll repost a little how-to I wrote on the Allspark:

"First I find and old, worn comic issue. Then I scan in appropriatly large to scale to the image I'm working on. Then I select the creases by using the magic wand set to whatever tolerance I need. I invert the selection and hit delete. Voila, creases! Ofcourse you will get everything in the same color so you still have to work it over before pasting it on your image.

Adjust the colors and it's done."
