Been busy working on things I can't show yet and learning things in general. The various functions and applications of the Manga Studio perspective ruler for example! Two wizard gals on a night out after a successful adventure.
That's actually the hook for my friend in one of our campaigns:
(DM): You all wake up groggy from the drinking contest you had last night with half the town guards (Friend): Do I have enough money to drink this hangover away? (DM): No, you were cleaned out after Lt. Black Anvil showed up, blame it one his dwarven resilience to basic alcohol (Friend): Oh No! (DM): Also Brueno called you on your tab, you won't be drinking at that bar until you pay up (Friend): Oh NO!!! But all my favorite bar maids are there, the ones that don't spit in my drinks, and they all laugh at my jokes....sometimes! (DM): Well you'd better get some coin or you'll have to bum off your friend over there (Me): NO (Friend): Looks like this calls for an ADVENTURE!
Was the most hilarious game we ever played together, all to pay off a large tab but ending up saving a valley from orcs, dragons, and rescued a couple of noblewomen along the way.
I have to give credit to the group as a whole, we were coming from all sides with this things; roleplayers, power gamers, people who wanted more lore in this custom world. The DM had a bit of a time with the improvisation but he did fantastic all things considered. Also we went in knowing we were going to be silly, no one had an overly serious character, well....I sort of did, but he mellowed out not that long into the game.
Hmm, I don't know how much technology there is in these fantasy pieces. Maybe you mean things like zippers and elastics? If there is one fantasy setting it's 90's JRPG meets saturday morning cartoons and silly DnD campaigns.
Ah, okay then! Intresting. My setting is basically a planet with a whole mix of races and stuff. There's elves in what you'd expect from a fantasy setting, humans in todays setting, tall white skinny dudes (Eminites) in the sky in a floating city, Forest yetis, (Lamlanaklas) Blobs of liquid mettalic goo that migrated from Venus (Goob-vowel goes here depending on color-) and even the occasional person made from a common geometric shape (Goemetrians) and a couple more that I have not named yet as they are in development
