For the Theme of The Week Clubs (here: :icontheme-of-the-week: ) August 9 theme "Flight Of Agony".

I whas thinking what to make for this theme. My first idea whas a splash of a city with tall weird buildings in it and someone flying over it on a bird of some kind. I might still draw it but it felt too cliché at the time.

Then I came to think of Dirge. The Transformer. I mean, you can't find a more agonous name than "Dirge". I whas originally just going to draw a pinup but when I did research into Dirges character (I've honestly never been much of an appreciator of the coneheads)... Wow. The guy fits this theme like a glove. So I decided to expand my plan into this one page comic.

Scalpel is in this because I can and because I needed a Decepticon medic...

Dirge is the Decepticon equivalent to Henry Rollins. It's in his contract to get beat up and/or killed in every appearance he makes. ;)

That's hilarious. And yeah, fits him so well. And it doesn't seem it's even like they planned it... different writers with different shows and comics wind up redshirting the guy... sometimes more than once in the same series!

[Checks site] I didn't even know he'd been in the IDW-verse. And he shows up just long enough to die again?!
